If you could choose one type of food to eat for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Japanese food: sushi, ramen, pork katsu.
Jay
We are the best choice because…
We truly love being parents and this crazy phase of life. We prioritize our kids 100% and can’t wait to complete our family with a third little one to love.
Rebecca
Favorite season and why?
Winter for snowy days outdoors and cozy nights.
Jay
What scares you?
Kids growing up too fast!
Jay
When you argue, what’s it about?
Silly things like when Jay drapes his laundry over the hamper instead of actually placing it inside or when I leave drawers open in the bathroom and block Jay from accessing his.
Rebecca
The most special thing I own is...
At the moment I’m really enjoying watching Eleanor play with the doll house my dad built for me as a child.
Rebecca
Three years from now, I hope our birth mom is…..
At peace with her decision and living life to the fullest.
Rebecca
My best friend would describe me as......
Loyal (friends since age 15), adventurous (together we backpacked through Europe, SE Asia and India), maybe a little dorky (bonded over late nights of studying), funny (glad she appreciates my humor)
Rebecca
My favorite place in the World is...
I love to travel so it's hard to choose just one. Some of my favorites include: Jackson Hole, Palau, Japan, Hawaii
Jay
What scares you?
Speed when doing active things - the older I get the more I worry about injuries. Trying to work on the fear though since our five year old already beats me down the mountain when we ski!
Rebecca
If you could choose one type of food to eat for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Dumplings!
Rebecca
If you had to live on an RV or sailboat for the rest of your life, which would it be?
A sailboat for the water views!
Rebecca
What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you look at the night sky?
When our older daughter Eleanor first discovered the moon - I love seeing the world through the eyes of our children!
Rebecca
Do you have kids? How would they feel about a sibling?
We have two daughters - Eleanor, age five and Greta, age one . Eleanor has been an amazing big sister and frequently mentions additional siblings she hopes to get in the future.
Rebecca
My neighborhood is a good place to raise a family because…
We’re close to the beach, parks, playgrounds, a zoo, every type of food imaginable and a year- round farmer’s market. Seattle has great schools and is extremely kid-friendly!
Rebecca
I hope you are...
Taking care of yourself, both mentally and physically (pregnancy is HARD!) and finding the support you need to make this monumental decision.
Rebecca
Dogs or cats?
Definitely dogs!
Jay
Complete the sentence, “I can’t live without……”
Asian food and my Peloton bike!
Rebecca
What is the best word to describe your family?
Tight-knit. And silly.
Rebecca
Dogs or cats?
Admittedly, neither. But maybe willing to consider a dog one day if the rest of our family nags at me enough.
